RIHS Students Receive Awards from Rock Island Rotary Club

Two Rock Island High School students were honored by the Rock Island Rotary Club for their academic achievement and one Rock Island High School student was given the Excellence Award by the club for her achievements as an athlete and in academics. 
 
Rock Island High School Seniors Aislinn Geedey and Cornia Castaneda were presented with the Academic Achievement Award. Both students are tied for valedictorian honors for the Class of 2019.
 
Rock Island High School senior, Breanna Beal was presented with the Rock Island Rotary Excellence Award for her incredible career in high school basketball. Among many honors it was noted that she is the all-time leading scorer for boys and girls in the Western Big 6 Conference, a 3-time winner of the Illinois Ms. Basketball Award, and 3-time winner of the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year Award. In the fall Beal will attend South Carolina University.
