United Way of the Quad Cities hosted its fall Day of Caring on September 19. The special event engages Quad Citizens in meaningful volunteer projects across the region to better our community. Some of those projects included RIMSD#41 schools!
Over at Denkmann Elementary School, volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley served as a lunch buddy to students. They got to enjoy lunch with a student and also play games with the students during lunch.
At Edison Jr. High School volunteers worked on beautification projects. From trimming hedges to painting walls, volunteers helped spruce up the building!
Thank you to United Way of the Quad Cities and all the volunteers who help make this house ROCK!
