Rocky Coach and Athletes Selected for International Bowl XI

The International Bowl XI is an annual event USA Football holds to compete against other countries in American football.

USA Football has two teams at each age level who play against other countries around the world.

The event is about more than competing in a game of football, but also being a good will ambassador to the rest of the world in the sport.

Two Rocky football players, Marriyon Rogers and Tommy Smith were chosen to play on team U18. Back in the spring, they tried out at a regional camp and were selected.

Rocky football Coach Ben Hammer has been selected to coach team U16. In the spring Coach Hammer has served as a Regional Camp Director for USA Football on the weekends, through that work, he earned the position to coach at the International Bowl.

There have been 11 International Bowls, and Coach Hammer has coached in nine of them. He also served as an assistant coach on the U19 staff in 2014 that participated in the U19 World Championship in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The team won a gold medal.

The International Bowl will take place in January and the games are held in the AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys!
