The Rock Island-Milan School District is holding a Zoom Session on Monday, December 21, and inviting parents, students, staff, and members of the community to view proposed plans and site locations for a new school district facility to house food production, warehousing, and Administration services.
The new facility discussion came to the forefront based on feedback from the Board of Education and previous information sessions tied to the Rock Island High School renovation. RIMSD Administration explored the possibility of relocating several district services to a new site location. Superintendent Lawrence reviewed options with the Board of Education at the December 8 Regular Meeting.
Superintendent Dr. Reginald Lawrence will review specs of the proposed facility, review the budget, and gather feedback from participants. RIMSD #41 Chief Financial Officer Bob Beckwith and representatives from Legat Architects will also be available in the session to answer questions.
