New Spectator Guidelines for Athletic Events

The following is how it affects families coming to Rock Island athletic events, and Rock Island families going to away games. Please note this is for families, not fans.

Our Families:
1) For each spring contest (football, cheer, boy's soccer, and volleyball), opposing teams will send us an allotment of tickets that they have available to give.  Those tickets will be distributed to RI head coaches.  Head coaches will distribute 1 or 2 tickets (depending on venue availability) to each participant to give to a family member.  There are requests from other schools to clearly announce that they are not allowing student sections.  Tickets are for family members only.  If there are enough tickets, coaches will be allowed to also give a ticket to their family member.  Those tickets will be checked off at the gates according to the rosters we send to each school.

2) All schools are asking, as we do, to follow all current IHSA COVID protocols. We are still at 6-foot distancing and wearing masks.

3) Because all schools must control the total number entering the gates, WB6 are not admitting additional spectators not accounted for on team rosters. COVID vaccination cards can not be used to gain admittance.

Visiting Families:
1) Rock Island will allow visiting teams 2 family members (regardless of age) per rostered player, coach, and staff member.  They will be charged $5 per entrant regardless of age.  You will need to tell the ticket taker at the gate who you are entering for.  If two are entering they must enter together.  Visitors for all three sports must sit on the west side bleachers.

2) Visitors may park along the side streets, in any school parking lot, and can only enter through the north ticket gate on 23rd Avenue for football and soccer.  For volleyball, all visitors enter through the circle drive and exit out the fieldhouse doors.

3) Rock Island will adhere to all COVID guidelines.  Visitors must sit the appropriate 6 foot distance on the tape marks.  They must wear masks at all times.  Our security and announcers will provide friendly reminders, however failure to comply with guidelines may result in removal from the game and all subsequent contests at our site.

4) COVID vaccination cards will not be honored for admittance to any RIHS event.

We look forward to seeing more fans in our stands.
