After 12 years of service as the district’s CFO, Bob Beckwith is retiring. Barton will take over as CFO for the 2022-2023 school year.
Jennifer Barton has fourteen years of experience in accounting, one of those years as the RIMSD Payroll Specialist, and seven of those years as the RIMSD Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting within the District’s Business Department. She currently holds a Masters of Science in Education, a major in School Business Management, and has a license as a Chief School Business Official.
Mr. Butler is a familiar face in the district. He has worked as the Head of Security/Home Liaison at Rock Island High School for the last 19 years.
Butler has been the lead at Rock Island High School in student-personnel relationship building, de-escalation practices, security training, video surveillance processes and as a safety resource liaison at the district level.
As the District Safety Manager, he will oversee the safety and protection of all schools (PreK-12) in the district, conduct professional development training for all staff, be responsible for developing security strategies as well as a number of other responsibilities for the district.
Mr. Butler's office will be located at the Administration Center.

Charles Butler
