Local poet Shellie Moore-Guy wrote the book "How Little Billy Learned To Play." The book is a tribute to musician Bill Bell and follows a young, fictionalized Bill Bell as he learns to play music in the Watertown neighborhood of East Moline, IL where he grew up.
Thanks to a generous donation by Dr. John Hildreth, Music Professor at Augustana, who was also a friend of Bill Bell, each Head Start Classroom in the Rock Island-Milan School District received one copy of the book.

On Friday, February 11, Ms. Moore-Guy visited the Head Start classroom at Thurgood Marshall Learning Center and read a copy of her book.
