RIMSD Parent/Guardian of the Month December Winners

F.A.C.E (Family and Community Engagement) has started a new initiative to recognize parents/guardians and a RIMSD school who are making a positive impact in our school district and community.

Parent/Guardian of the Month
Schools can nominate a parent/guarding who goes above and beyond to support the needs of children, our school, and/or our community. The winner receives a gift card, a bunt cake, and a sign that can display outside their residence.

parent of the month
Jason Garza -  nominated by Ms. Alongi

Mr. Garza helped to fill an immediate need for a LEAD Friday volunteer to lead the Lego Building & Book activity following the Family Museum activity.

parent of the month

Willie Scales - nominated by Christi Varnes & Sarah Engstrom

During an intense home basketball game versus Glenview, Mr. Scales demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship. His impact on the climate and his demonstration of leading by example were impactful to the actions of others as well as a positive representation of the school's expectations and family engagement. Edison appreciates you, Mr. Scales!

parent of the month

Johanna Dusenberry - nominated by Mrs. Smith

Johanna and her family are not only caring members of our school family but helpful too! Johanna is active in PTCC and is always willing to lend a hand or lead an event. She cares about her girls' teachers and friends often offering her time or lending support whenever she can. As a family, they are caring and kind but they also bring joy into our school. They are at family events, field trips, and book fairs. If it's happening at RICMS - you can count on the Dusenberrys! Thank you for always offering to help and caring about all of our kids and teachers.
