Denkmann has used the Leader in Me program building wide for more than seven years. In March, staff from Denkmann attended a Leader in Me Symposium in Washington. D.C and was inspired to host a leadership day.
On April 26, Parents, community leaders, and administration staff were invited to Leadership Day at Denkmann Elementary School. It started with a schoolwide leadership assembly which is done daily at Denkmann. After that, the program started which included musical performances by students and a presentation to explain how students use The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. After the presentation, the audience could ask students questions.
Student leaders then toom groups around the building for a tour, and highlighted and shared leadership binders.
