RIMSD Elementary Schools Awarded Best Parade Entries

Each year the City of Rock Island gives out awards to participants of the Rock Island Labor Day Parade. Two RIMSD elementary schools were recognized.

Denkmann Elementary School won for Best School Entry. Longfellow Liberal Arts won the highest honor and was awarded the Mayor's Cup.

The city said Longfellow did a great job showcasing this year's parade theme, "Planting Pride - Growing Together." The city also added the school had a large group of participants who walked in the parade.

Congratulations to both!
