Due to the extreme weather conditions, the decision has been made to cancel in-person learning for Tuesday, January 9 and conduct an e-learning day.
e-Learning Days are now different than Remote Learning during COVID. An e-Learning Day is a full day of learning and conducted online rather than in the school building. Students are to log onto Google Classroom at the beginning of the school day to receive details:
- PreK-grade 6 - 8:30 a.m.
- Jr. High - 8:15 a.m.
- Thurgood Marshall Learning Center - 8:00 a.m.
- High School - 8:30 a.m.
Students will be expected to answer the attendance question. If home Internet usage for a student goes down, parents need to contact the building principal so student attendance is not affected.
The Rock Island-Milan Board of Education approved the use of e-Learning for Emergency Days at the October 24, 2023 meeting.
