The Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation (RIMEF) celebrated the Rock Island High School Top Ten of each class at the Austin Academic Achievement and Scholarship Award night on Wednesday, May 8. RIMEF awarded a record $175,200 to the Class of 2024.
70 RIHS seniors received $35,000 in Austin Academic Achievement Award (AAAA) scholarships and $140,200 RIMEF named scholarships at the annual ceremony. RIMEF scholarships range from $500-$8,000 and are awarded for academics, athletics, community involvement, and more.
The ceremony also recognized the Top Ten from each class. In all, 134 Rock Island High School students were celebrated.
