Rock Island High School Principal Jeff Whitaker says the Class of 2024 is a truly outstanding class of students that has accomplished a tremendous amount and preserved through a lot of changes in the four years of high school. "You started your freshmen year on a computer and then shifted to coming to school in person just a couple of days a week. There are few graduating classes that have to overcome the challenges you have faced to earn this diploma. Your ability to adapt to constant change has prepared you for whatever life throws at you in the future. I wish you all the best of luck."

"As we look ahead to the next chapter of life, and while we may be going down different paths, we know that we will always have a home here. Some of us will go to on to be welders, CNAs, or join the military, while others might be going off to college. Some might not have 100% figured out yet, and that's okay too," said Top Ten senior Eva Essman. "What I do know is that we will go on to be us- class of 2024 and with that, I urge you, in whatever you do, to always try to make a difference in the world, and build on the strong foundation our Rock Island education and experience has laid for us."
