On Saturday, January 13 the Karen New Year was celebrated at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Moline, IL.
Hundreds of people attended the festive event that included music, dancing, food, and a program. Mr. Eh and the Earl Hanson Karen School performed at the beginning of the program. Students recited excerpts in the Karen language and also did several skits.
