On June 19, The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) joined the Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT) and the Illinois Education Association (IEA) to honor 59 Illinois educators whose professional organizations selected them as the best in their fields during the 2017-18 school year.
Rock Island Academy teacher Tami Kelley, was one of the 59 recognized at the eighth annual Exemplary Teacher Recognition Award Luncheon at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Conference Center. Kelley was recognized by the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics as Promising New Teacher of the school year. Read story >>
