Longfellow Liberal Arts was recognized by the City of Rock Island at the October 8 City Council meeting for implementing a Rain Garden on the school campus. The 2018 Rain Garden Award was presented by the city's Beautification Commission for their work in implementing and maintaining the rain garden.
"We are proud of our rain garden project and our students had a great time working on it and taking care of it as well," said Longfellow Principal Dave Knuckey.
