Jr Highs Place 1st and Dominate Top 10 at Math Competition

Junior High School MathCounts teams took over the Top Ten at the annual MathCounts Regional Competition at Bettendorf Middle School on Saturday, Feb. 2.   
 
The Edison Junior High MathCounts team took 1st place and the Washington Junior High MathCounts team took 4th place. 
 
Edison Junior High First Place Team members included Charlie Conner, Jackson Bennett, Ricardo Mendoza, and Avery Flactiff. They will advance to the state competition on March 23rd in Lisle, IL! Other Edison students who participated were: Mark Jackson, Alex Jackson, Ali Al Janabi, Ariana Matthews, Chloe Cooper and Sean Manary. 
 
Washington Junior High Mathcounts Team members included Madelyn Maidak, Emma Stout, Xavier Lolli, Nathalie Pothovan, Daxon Ashpaugh, Niyitunga Jeanvier and Lucas Retting. 
 
Individual students who placed in the top 10 include:
