The Rock Island-Milan School District offers a comprehensive benefits package!
 
District-wide open enrollment begins in September of each year.
 
REMINDER: If you are on the Rock Island-Milan School District health insurance and you have any life change event, please remember that you have 30 days from the date of the qualifying event to notify Human Resources/Benefits of a divorce, birth, marriage, adoption, gain of other coverage, etc. to make changes to your health insurance coverage.
RIMSD #41 is using Employee Navigator by Clarity, a Third Party Benefit Administrator, for employees to view and enroll in current insurance coverages. Instructions for enrollment and accessing the employee portal can be found on RIMnet under Human Resources Department; Employee Information; Benefits.

FIRST STEP: Complete benefits enrollment on Employee Navigator within 30 days of hire, or during District-wide open enrollment. 
 
SECOND STEP: Enroll in the MetLife MyBenefits web site. The MyBenefits site provides you with a personalized, integrated and secure view of your MetLife-delivered benefits. You can take advantage of a number of self-service capabilities as well as a wealth of easy to access information. MetLife is able to deliver services that empower you to manage your benefits. As a first time user, you will need to register on MyBenefits. 
 
To register: 
  1. Provide Your Group Name -Access MyBenefits at www.metlife.com/mybenefits  and enter Rock Island School District #41 as the employer and click ‘Submit.’ You can access general benefit information when you input your Group Name.
  2. For personal benefits click on ‘Register Now’ and perform the one-time registration process. You will be able to create a user name and password. Going forward, you will be able to log-in directly after setting security questions. 
In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504.  The law requires IMRF to post certain employer cost and participation information on its website.  IMRF updates these reports annually.  Furthermore, the Act requires that employers who participate in IMRF post a link to the IMRF page which displays this information on their website no later than January 1, 2021.
 
RIMSD#41 offers eligible employees a choice of two dental plans.
RIMSD#41 offers eligible employees a choice of two medical plans. Both are PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) health insurance plans - these plans allow you to visit whatever in-network physician or healthcare provider you wish without first requiring a referral.
The District offers health/medical and dependent care flex spending account (FSA) options through TASC >>  Enrollment begins in November for calendar year FSA plans.
