We’re excited to invite you to join us in a special community partnership with West End Revitalization for a Spring Clean-Up and Planting Event this weekend on Saturday, April 26th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
In celebration of Earth Day, Rock Island School District #41 will be collaborating with West End Revitalization to carry out a meaningful beautification project. With their support, we’ll be planting 7 trees at Thurgood Marshall, 2 trees at Rock Island High School (RIHS), and 2 trees at Rock Island Academy (RIA). At the same time, volunteers will assist with trash removal and landscaping at each location.
We’ll kick off the day by gathering at the MLK Center, where teams will then be sent out to the designated clean-up and planting sites. Dumpsters will be available at Thurgood Marshall and RIA for collected debris. We will also provide gloves, bags, and trash pickers for all volunteers.
